Speaker Cable Length

I purchased a new amplifier, and due to size, I'm looking to move it outside of my current speakers to the right.  I currently have Generation 6 Transparent Reference speaker cables that are 8 feet long.  To make the move I would have to go to 15 feet of Generation 6 Transparent Reference cables.  Would be interested in feedback on whether I will have any noticeable signal loss or deterioration in sound.

Someone has got it all wrong. You want short unbalanced interconnects. If they are unbalanced, the longer they are you will increase the capacitance which could roll off the high frequencies after about 20 feet or so.  You could easily go 100 feet with #14 speaker wire.

Well, OP, it will probably torment you psychologically...this longer cable issue....

What if you missed some electrons and the soundstage shrunk a bit?

What if the blak background is not so blak anymore (white noise coming in hot with a chicken dance on the side)?

TranspRent are great I have a 40 footer reference I bought used. It is true that monoblocks with long xlr and short speaker cables is optimal. You would have the best system with that amp in mono as it would sound sweet.i went to lmc in Phoenix and they had a similar set up.

You could easily go 100 feet with #14 speaker wire.

Typical twisted pair inductance is in order of 500nH/m.  At 100ft=30m inductance would be 15uH making reactive impedance at 20kHz  almost 2 ohm 
(not to mention 0.5 ohm resistance)
