Does ChatGPT have all your gear in memory?

I took some time in providing details of all my audio gear, home theater stuff, including smart TV model number, and requesting it be retained in memory. This includes which speakers are connected to each amplifier, etc. and providing details on cables, power cords, individual tubes I use on each component, network switches, etc.

I find this incredibly useful in providing information about each component and how it relates to other pieces. When I have discussions about audio gear it takes initiative to refer to my audio gear in discussions which is really helpful. I think it's getting better at doing what it's doing with audio issues which is really impressive.

Interested in other things I might be able to provide my new friend that I haven't thought of.

I have found the information is  retained if I am recalling and adding to the  same  thread.  Not  so much when I am starting with a new thread.

@bigtwin

You have to ask ChatGPT to retain things and memory and it generally works really well.

You have a nice room and set up and I really like the twin chairs.

I provide all sort of stuff. I provided details of my systems and said... "remember this". a table of four hundred movies I have watched and how I rated them. it characterized the details of what I like and why. The recommended movies it comes up with are incredible... I have been watching some of the best movies I did not know existed. I explained the type of writing I want to read... and that I want peer reviewed scientifically based research only on technical, philosophical, and scientific inquiries... with references. When ever I am typing something I want it to remember... I say "remember this". So it does.
