I’ve tried cardas and while their copper does sound lovely it is too focused on letting you know it’s high purity copper. It has a golden timbre spread across everything that I find to be too coloring
Who makes the best copper cables?
I’m a hardcore cable dork
I’ve been through many cheaper copper cables and even more medium to higher priced silver cables.
I mainly own Furutech project v1
but they are not a cable. After they warm up they disappear from the system which is great. I love that. But I’ve tried to make everything in my system like that
now I want to add a little of that thick voluptuous copper timbres into my system.
I know copper can be just as resolving as most silver. Clarus crimson was unreal in details but it was too slow, dark and bloomy
i do not like cables that have capacitors to try and artificially alter sound staging also do not like shunyata. Good but too cool and artificial sounding
Anyone have any recommendations?

@bthrb4u ”golden timbre” Remember copper is good for the environment. After time and if exposed to air and moisture. it will naturally become more greener. |
Pangea, great copper. I buy my own 4 gauge and put cardas bananna ends on them twist it with a drill then put ptfe on the outside with heat shrink on the end. There 100,000 $ cables. Can't be beat by any other cable and are reference. I paid alot of reviewers to write excellent reviews and give them samples. Physics is physics and cryo does put the atoms back in the lattice and take impurities out. Then there is long grain copper, ofc, occ and many more. I do love these discussions they stimulate conversation about resistance and capacitance and skin effect of wire.which is the best dielectric? Enjoy the hunt and they are some smart people on here and I love reading these blogs cuz you can always learn something. Cable co makes a living off this at least they let you try them. |
