Bob Weir

I just discovered that Bob Weir has passed. I’m really getting old. It seems like yesterday that I was at a show watching Bob, Jerry and Phil mixing it up on stage.

Highly underrated, thanks to the media’s tendency to focus on everything about the Dead except their musicianship.

Just listen to Europe ’72. A stellar example of his creativity and taste. Nobody sounded like Weir.

@stuartk Those Europe 72 concerts are some of the best recordings in their catalogue. 

@tomic601 Ace is essentially a Dead recording so its well regarded. I even like Kingfish.
