To repair, rebuild, or toss?

I have a Rotel RB 1080 amplifier which I used to power golden ear Triton one speakers.  I had the amplifier repaired once before, It needed replacement of a capacitor in the right channel. Now there is asymmetric output with respect to the right and left channel. I received a quote to repair the issue for $300 or rebuild the amplifier for $600. The question is, should I repair or rebuild the amplifier? The rebuild option entails a visual inspection and replacement of parts that look like they need to be replaced., I’m a newbie at this game, so I’m not sure what else is out there. Would the money be better off spent on a new amp, if so, which one?

Thank you for your input.

I don’t have a fixed number, however, I know a new amplifier will cost me at least a couple of thousand dollars. If I get a new amplifier, I would like to upgrade the sound coming out of the triton ones. I know Marantz has an High Fidelity amplifier in the $10,000 range, I could potentially go that high, but the sound would definitely have to justify the cost. Any suggestions for different price ranges and quality would be appreciated.

There’s also the question of AB versus D amplification, what are your thoughts on that?
The music is streamed via an early model blue sound node and using a Marantz 8805A as a preamp. Considering upgrading that end of the system as well.

You can try a pair of Fosi V3 monos with the 48 volt supplies - 225 wpc@8 ohm’s. Why spend thousands? If you don't like them you can easily resell them.
