I wonder how devices like the DS ION work.  Vinyl accumulates negative ions or electrons. However you want to think of it, the charge on the surface of an LP has negative polarity. Yet this device and many others of its kind are said to produce both positive and negative ions, which I do not doubt.Why don't the oppositely charged ions neutralize each other before they reach the LP surface?
