Name your favorite Integrated Tube Amplifier & why?
audio note UK Meishu, Jinro, Tomei and Ongaku. all brilliant integrated amplifiers.  Meishu is 300b.  The others are 211 based.  I use the Ongaku with JBL 4367 speakers.  Brilliant!

terrible form to both post three times in a row and talk about another TT here but just briefly wanted to say about the Techdas Af3p 1. it is remarkably similar to the platine really.  so simple.  a separate motor, a chassis and then a platter. ...

Of course the la platine can be run on linen thread and sound quite different I thought. Big dynamics and a lot more push. But then you forego lowest noise.

Very hard to say but…Well the la platine is not calling the shots in terms of tempo. Rather the music is (to a degree). I guess it’s a spectrum. A garrard / idler drive has its own tempo. And you hear that and it sounds a tad mechanical in compari...

@ledoux1238 yes I have now heard the techdas having installed it only 48 hours ago. The platine I last heard a week ago. Also I have a new to me amp (though still same kind of amp and similar tube set).    I last ran the platine with single loop ...
TechDas III Premium vs Premium S
@robob i just got one and am curious as to any optimisations you may have made now you are well into third year of ownership.

for what it is worth i believe there are 2 ways to get the most out of the platine: 1.  as verdier himself did.  with a denon 103 cart, a sme3012  or 9 inch or fr64a, and using linen thread.  a relatively low resolution system (compared to a mode...

does anyone have any drawing or description of the spring feet and how they function and/or require to be fitted?  i had removed the feet but now have reattached and i'm just not 100% about it.  i am getting my platine ready to face the classified...

@ledoux1238 in being inspired to replace your platine plinth with granite surely the original platine (granito) is a more proximate model to be emulated than the SOTA (although i get the point).  i see numerous terrazzo versions (A23) on audio-mar...

the ZYX brand intrigues me.  Someone described it as a modern SPU sound.  I had a great time listening to an old Shindo SPU-A for three months near the start of my vinyl thing.  anything like that seems very good.  what do you use for a SUT for th...

@ledoux1238 any update on your new motor?  after mounting the platine on a wall shelf i haven't tweaked anything in 5 days.  feel bereft.  i think i have ended up precisely where @dover might have predicted.  totally rigid setup, suture silk, ligh...

@ledoux1238 the rack was made for me by my Audio Note dealer who is also it seems an excellent carpenter/cabinet maker.  It is well secured into the double brick wall and the rack itself fit onto a "thing" that he bolted to the wall.  Making the m...

The rack is Canadian maple. I’m kicking myself for not doing this sooner. Also noise is low enough that I feel I can be quite sure ball is better than no ball. If you ask me with no ball one can hear the resonances fizzing around.

I became curious as to what could be done at my end and so I decided to try putting the la platine on the wall shelf i have.  i had previously thought the la platine too heavy.  however i loaded the shelf up with 55 kgs of weight and it seemed fin...
