Vibration Feet / Footers for Marble Stands and Digital Equipment

Hello all,

I am wondering what your take is on vibration feet for equipment. I put my amps / preamps on my rack on top of 1" thick marble. The marble so far is on Silicone Feet, generic, from amazon. I am wondering what your thoughts were on higher quality vibration dampening feet for my marble stands.

What do you recommend?

In one instance I will need low profile feet, less than 1". Any suggestions on low profile feet?

thanks,

I use the cork sandwiched between rubber pads. Inexpensive and they stop vibration. Mission accomplished!

I have some vibe killing stuff in my rig here and there...my new Pure Audio Project open baffles even have little vibration damping washers between the baffle and frame...Gaia feet. Feel the baffle when bass is happening...mondo vibration.  It's everywhere! I'm not obsessive about vibration...I have  sorbothane feet here and there, but if you are truly concerned you must reach the conclusion that reproducing music creates vibration. The only answer is to stop playing music through loudspeakers....headphones get a pass, but still...silence is the only answer. Sure, major parts of your rig will become useless but the silence is its own reward, and you don't need the pressure of live sound getting all over the place like humidity or wet dog odor. No music, no vibration...problem solved.

Townshend Audio is what I use for an amp and my speakers. They also have vibe control things for anything else audio related. Incredible results on my speakers. On the amp, no idea if it is better, but I needed something with a low profile for safety reasons.

Love the way both my amp and speakers float on the Townshend gear. If I wanted something for my other gear, I would look here first and likely nowhere else.
