Any ladies in the audience?

Curious about this a long time.

Any female members on here?

Old but not grumpy, like girls. Generally I think their hearing is more acute also.

Within the general interest of Audio as a form of entertainment, there is a dominant sector of males who are active in expressing their interest.

In my case, I am the driver of the Audio experiences, my Wife who has experienced most of what I have experienced but in lesser measure, is also the owner of the larger proportion of the Vinyl Album collection.

Today she entertains herself regularly with Alexia, as she hears what she wants to hear with a convenience that suits. On a few occasions throughout the year, she will sit in for an extended period during the use of the Audio System, and occasionally ask for a Audio Session, usually where she selects the Albums.

When attending Audio Events, that I now do less frequently there is less Females seen as visitors than I recall from the recent events in comparison to events attended during the 90's and early 00's.

In design though, there is a much better communication, where Brands are quite keen to share that the design being marketed has been produced by an individual, who's name will reveal the designer is a Female. This same practice is now seen across a large proportion of info made available for marketing purposes.

It would be nice to think, that female designers appeal to females who have disposable income and are influenced to become a customer.

As for forums being populated with increased numbers of actively participating females, or individuals identifying themselves a LBGTQ, well that is a difficult one to make a call on. From my end, all are welcome, enjoying reproduced music using audio equipment is not an exclusive club.
