Digital Cables

Either the bits get through perfectly or they don’t right? So what’s the difference between a 1 ft $5 8K HDMI cable and a 1 ft $150 HDMI cable? I'm connecting I2S between a DDS and DAC. 

I do believe in differences between power cables, speaker cables and interconnects. Digital has me wondering.

Awesome info!! I'm going from a Node N130 to a Denafrips Iris to a Denafrips Pontus 2. My plan is to use USB from the Node to the Iris and then I²S from Iris to Pontus 2.

Ok just an update. Ive purchased the Denafrips I²S cable for the connection between the IRIS and the Pontus II. I didn't know that they made their own I²S umbilical until today.

FYI standard HDMI cables work for I2S between Denafrips cables, at least all of the ones I've tried. Even if they did not, the I2S is configurable on Denafrips DACs.

Ok another update. I was contacted by the Denafrips rep and he informed me that there is a $50 tariff on the Denafrips I²S cable. It's already $100 more than the DH Labs. I don't want to pay the Tariff so I canceled the order.
