I’m not sure it’s a Gan problem. Class d apparently has come a long way. Orchard Audio is getting excellent reviews. Perhaps it’s a Peachtree issue and/or speaker issue. Sounds like a big floor standing speaker for the characteristics you describe. There are quite a few. I have Volti and love them for the characteristics you describe. The entry level model Razz is in your price range. High efficiency as well. I’m actually going to demo the Orchard Audio mono block 25’s, which are Gan. I have tubes but would like an alternative for various reasons. Anyway, good luck.
Best speakers for GaN1? Or should I change amps???
It’s been some time since I bought the Peachtree GaN1 + Bluesound Node combo. Unfortunately, I’ve hardly used it, as I’ve been working away from home. I have it paired with a little pair of Ruark Epilogue speakers + JL Audio Sub. Sound isn’t great.
I’m looking for suggestions for the best speakers for the GaN1?
Or should I just move it on & start again?

I do like the revel saloon 2 but don't know if your amp can drive it to perfection as they like power. You need to listen to a few at audio store or audio club in your area. Read reviews on steriophile about your speaker and you gan amp see what they paired it with. The new gan chips have revolutionized class d amps. Enjoy the education and the hunt |

Yes, it’s a bit restricted both ends. I’m happy to close the thread TBH. I’m going to start again in the new year. Get round some dealers & shows to find exactly what I’m looking for.
