Anyone else prefer listening to their system more than a concert?

I know I do. It seems like most people on this forum don't feel that way. That's OK. To each his own.

For me, I like being able to control the volume. I like choosing what song I want to hear. I like not being in a crowd. I like hearing the music without any distracting sounds from others. I like the privacy. I like the convenience. I think my system sounds wonderful. I'm a happy camper.

Just my opinion. Not trying to change anyone else's mind.

Enjoy the music! Whichever way pleases you.

I now would rather say home, as a Virginian I am a big fan of the Dave Matthews Band, but when I went to see them play, get this, the band was so loud I could not hear Dave sing, at all, the band totally drown him out. And I had really good seats too. After about a half hour of this, I left, I came to hear Dave sing, not just his band, what a disappointment, I prefer my McIntosh, where I can hear everything, thank you.

@kobebar - that is a shame; sounds like the sound crew was not up to the job; I've been to more than a few gigs like that. Dave is from VA? I didn't know that. 2 VA bands I really like a lot are GWAR and the Dustys....

For me, there is nothing that beats a live concert

with top notch acoustics. I'm wring this as I wait for the

music to begin at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley CA.

I've not attended many gigantic venues in my lifetime. I will continue to

PIck and choose live concerts. I will also continue to potentiate

my in home system.
