How long for an HDMI cable to break in.
I've been using an Audioquest Blueberry for a little while and just got the Vodka 48 8k/10k to compare. I'm not hearing initially much of a difference and certainly not $600 worth. Anybody else compare the two? Direction is correct. When I put the Vodka in I realized the Blueberry was in wrong!
To those who think there is no "directionality" to 8K cables, think again. I just installed an 35 foot 8K cable through the baseboard and no, in this case there is no direction (I hope) because the cable is all wire. But..., some of the 8K cables actually have a module in them that changes the signal to run down a fiberoptic line, and these are directional! And, you also have to be more careful when pulling these cables to avoid breakage.

In giving muvluv some slack, I believe what he meant by "light" is better described by "electromagnetic field". Electrons do not "flow" in a circuit. Electron motion and electromagnetic forces and energy in circuits are determined solely by the electromagnetic fields generated by a difference in potential. Electric current is a very useful construct. I use it myself because it is helpful. But it is not correct.

Please don't let the snide comments affect you. Please read up on basic electricity and magnetism. Some of your statements create equivalence between concepts that are not equivalent. A quick read about basic concepts and definitions will help you significantly. I wish that you were treated with respect. Every one of us deserves that. |
