How long for an HDMI cable to break in.

I've been using an Audioquest Blueberry for a little while and just got the Vodka 48 8k/10k to compare. I'm not hearing initially much of a difference and certainly not $600 worth. Anybody else compare the two? Direction is correct. When I put the Vodka in I realized the Blueberry was in wrong!

volts and light can be used interchangeably

Reminds me of DS Audio's optical cartridges!

In these, an electrically powered light-emitting diode (LED) illuminates a screen attached above the stylus.  The screen normally stops the light from reaching a photo-sensitive receptor. When the stylus moves, the screen unblocks some of the receptor and some of the photons interact with electrons to create a voltage signal.  Oversimplified description, I know.

Another LED sits at the front of the cartridge to show the power is on (and the afficionados how much you spent).

Einstein would be ecstatic!

@audphile1,

Ah, croutons! Thank you for pointing out my error.

Coincidentally, I’ve stumbled across Einstein’s equation for that:

S=C/F. Apparently, after the Theory of Relativity he deduced that the croutons to futon ratio is directly proportional to how many salads you eat.

Science is fascinating!

@roxy1927 Not sure if it will help or not but I use an HDMI cable to connect my DtoD reclocker to my DAC (Holo May). Have tried several cables and did not hear much of a difference. As @richardbrand noted, the I2S was never meant to used to connect two components together so there is really no standard for it for manufacturers to meet. If you want to use I2S I would try to keep the length under 1 meter if possible.
