Ethernet switch worthwhile?

Is anyone using an audiophile ethernet switch for streaming as is it worth it? Recently was recommended using Uptone Audio EtherRegen switch to remove noise and jitter from the ethernet cable before it enters my Aurender N10 streamer. Or does the N10 also remove the same once it enters its own ethernet connection?  Also read Synergistic Research ethernet switch is very good. Thoughts?

@fastfreight--What is to understand? He asked if a switch was worthwhile and I said no. Please conduct a statistically relevant test with / without your high priced switch and get back to me. Please explain how this switch can produce a sonic benefit to your highly resolving system?

Instead of feeding into the audiophile insecurities that exist, I suggest spending his/ her money on something that may actually make a system sound better.

Is an audiophile ethernet switch worthwhile?  Why yes, everything (improvement/upgrade) is worthwhile!!!  Get the best switch and ethernet cables you can afford, as they do make a noticeable difference (in my experience they do).  Happy listening.

@lnitm

I’ve found that optical isolation before your streamer (N10) is one of the most effective ways to clean up the Ethernet signal. You might want to look into something like this ⬇️, for a clutter-free setup.

Hello @gramophone_canada ,  not sure who you ask your question to, but I’ll answer! Yes! A good linear power supply makes a huge difference. I learned this with the first night which I bought which was the JCAT. M12 gold.  Based on Marcin’s advise on the at JCAT,  I bought both at the same time, that being the optimum duo power supply. But due to availability, he shipped the switch first, and I got to hear it for several weeks before I received the power supply. I would say the switch made a significant difference and then adding the power supply made at least that much of a significant difference again. I was shocked, But now, I am a huge believer in eliminating all wall warts, And using linear power supplies. If you have some wall warts that you just plain need to use, put them  on a separate circuit.

@grunge1000 ,  thanks for your reply.  If I can hear it, and my wife and friend can hear it, that’s fine by me.  I certainly understand the proper way to do scientific testing, and I would say that 99.9% of the testing that is reported here is not of that quality.  I understand blind, double blind, and statistical significance.  That is why I never speak in absolute terms on a forum such as this. It is absolute to me, but that is not how I phrased it.   I can hear it or I can appreciate it or in my opinion is really what I think we all mean.  If you think it is a personal bias, I understand; many do.
What I take issue to is someone making a factual statement, which may or may not be true.  Call me sensitive if you wish, but people asking questions deserve to know that the person responding is stating their opinion. Have a great holiday!  Would love to have you over for a listening session if you’re ever around Baltimore.
