@wizzard The Typical Speaker is a Directional sound source.
Instruments of which there are many, have many types that produce Omnidirectional Sound.
A Typical speaker can’t create this sound type, but will produce a sound that is a good reminder of such produced sound.
Sound from a PA System will be closer matched to a Typical Speaker as both are Directional sound sources.
A speaker in a dedicated audio system is much more refined as a sound than that from a PA System.
If a live sound is enjoyed, then keep on creating experiences with live sound being produced either as a non amplified sound source or as a sound produced through amplification and speakers.
When versions of the above are wanted to be heard as sound produced from the above. This is where the home audio system is a good substitute, but as a means to create a live experience, it is far far far away from the being their experience.
Audio systems are without doubt great tricksters and are able to dupe many.
Find your ideal sound illusion, the one that dupes you best.
