Installing huge tv with drywall lifter ?

As TV’s have become insanely large and heavy, it’s getting harder and harder to find a friend to come help.. I’ve exhausted all my helpers and need a tool move my 85 in Sony (110lbs) by myself. All I need to do is add an Apple TV. Quick and simple and not worth calling a friend again.

Surely someone has a tool, jack, or lift for quickly lifting a TV on the wall. I was told a Drywall Lift may be what I’m looking for but those sure are big.

Anyone else had any luck with something like this?

Yep, I have a 100" that weighs 162 lbs. It’s sitting on it’s stand on top of my AV cabinet rather than being wall-mounted. I had to move it around a few times since it was delivered before my room was finished. I never ask the same neighbor/buddy more than once because if it were me, I’d be saying "geez, again?"

Btw, I used to have a drywall lifter and I agree with the above poster, I don't think it would work and it could be disastrous to try.

Why don’t you use an HDMI switch?  Have one HDMI cable go into the TV. Hide the switch in/on your cabinet. Plug all HDMI cables into that switch. Done. Never ever have to go behind a TV again. Good ones are $60-90 at Best Buy.

The last tv I hung (with my very strong son-in-law) was a 65-inch Panasonic plasma 10 years ago.Thank goodness it still works perfectly and looks great because I am not sure my 10-year older self could lift it again. Listen to @dekay and the rest, save yourself from yourself, and just hire it done.

Years ago when i purchased my firsy 65:" Sony Aquos from Best buy I brought the stand home , had them deliver it and paid them Aprox $60.00 to assemble the feet put it on the stand and calibrate it. Safest thing I did.

Now  i have 2 guys that l come out for $60.00 and the put my new 100" on up for me

also I used them to move heavy old furniture when needed. as I am not as young as i used to be I woulodn't think of doing it with a friend as i would not want to get them or myself hurt or flex the screen on a big TV as mitch2 said   Listen to @dekay and the rest, save yourself from yourself, and just hire it done..yes
