Pioneer home system value

I have an opportunity to purchase a Pioneer system from the original owner and I’m looking for some input from you all.
The system has a SX 1050 receiver, PL530 turntable and a pair of HPM 100 speakers. Anyone have thoughts on a fair price? It is all in fair to good working condition and well maintained.

thank you for any feedback

The receiver and speakers are both mid to late '70s. I can't speak to value. The SX-1050 was one step down from Pioneer's top of the line receiver at that time.

If in fully operable condition, offer $1000.00 for the whole set, maybe up to $1200.00.  But be prepared to invest time and $$ to make it really good. The sspeakers basically suck in their stock configuration, but there are people who have published fix-it plans online that transform them into credible performers. The receiver will need extensive restoration to be “good as new”, and that will cost. Before buying, inquire locally if anyone does this work. Many areas are “service deserts”, but you may live near someone who has the ability.

Some vintage gear, especially that receiver, sometimes go for outrageous prices...vintage Pioneer is highly valued by many...

The HPM speaker series have a following. Apparently designed by Bert Locanthi of JBL.
