What piece of equipment have you owned the longest?

zavato

Grace F9L ca 1974.

Paragon System "E" preamp ca. 1978.

Audio Research  SP-6B (phono section) ca. 1979.

All have been active recently or are in use today.

I don't throw much out.

Two sets of speakers.

1) 3D Acoustics satellite pair (originally had the sub too, but it was crap. Replaced it with a custom Harms Labs sub, the Vandersteen, currently a SVS 1000 Pro). They are part of the AV surround sound system with 5 B&W (center, 2 side, and 2 rear). Minor maintenance over the last 45 years.

2) Acoustat 1+1 in my main system (see profile) with a pair of Rythmik F12SE subs and a SPL Crossover to make them sing. Minor repairs over the years. I have owned them over 30 years and I am the third owner. They are close to 40 years old.

Hello zavato. Great question, especially for us “Seasoned Citizens”.  As to my most senior equipment it’s a close tie between my Dahlquist Dq 10 mirror imaged speakers and my Denon DP 51F TT. Both items purchased as “open box” deals from the now defunct Federated Electronics in 1980.  I’ve refurbed the DQ 10s with Dahlquist licensed kits from Regnar-Dahlquist in upstate NY and fabricated my own stands. The only change to the Denon TT was to solder in new interconnects. It still spins vinyl perfectly. Happy holidays to all. Enjoy the music.

Pioneer PL12d turntable.

Bought in 1974  at Clark music in Syracuse, ny.

I still have the receipt.

Oldest in current use:  Thiel CS 3.6 speakers in my music system.

Owned the longest:  Acoustic Research Amplifier now with one of my sons.
