Thank you for mercifully deleting some of the more recalcitrant melts.  Mostly, we come in peace, in search of enlightenment, exposure to a bit of wit, not an inquisition.  Cheers

Only two kinds of people in the world when it comes to this dynamic.

1.  Those who stay and complain endlessly, fruitlessly trying to 'right' the ship.

2.  Those who tune out, do not read further, move on because they have better to do.  It rolls off them.  Change the channel, do not engage, do not become upset.

That reminds me, I need re-arrange my sock drawer.

Where are the bylaws of this site posted, excluding mention of every topic beside audio.  Or are some people just saying so?

I agree that if people don't want to read it, just skip over it. Seems as simple as changing the channel, not listening to a song, you name it! The rest of the world shouldn't have to refrain from something a few people don't like if it's not being forced on them.

Just stay civil.

Thank you for several salient points made.  Changing the channel I oft champion. However, simply changing the channel does not call out or discourage terrible behavior allowing it to fester.

We're audio people not influencing world history.  But we do engage those in this neighborhood and should practice a modicum of civility and expect same.

If you were using an elevator and found someone had defecated in the elevator, you could simply use another elevator.  The act witnessed and ability to avoid should not render the stupid act acceptable.

Civility in all facets should be the norm, not the exception.  Many have simply lost the ability to gauge and recognize their own uncivil behavior.  No filter.  Witness air travel these days.  Wow!  Now back to my awesome system and Lightnin' Hopkins. He knew something.
