All these pop up ads have ruined my experience on Audiogon.

Geese, what a horrible experience on Audiogon now. The whole site is plastered with pop up ads that takes away any enjoyment from browsing ads anymore.
Must be they are either getting more greedy or times are catching up with Audiogon with their high fees and strict payment options.

I have been a member since its first days back in the late nineties and as the British would say, “it’s completely rubbish now”.

hiendmmoe

I'd be willing to pay a small subscription like $12 per year to stop ads. I don’t need the $100 Insider option.

I assume you make Brave your default browser?

Tammy, I typically use a recent model iPad Air with my chrome browser when using Audiogon. More times than not, I will be typing, the screen refreshes & my input is gone. I don’t know how you do a screen shot of “now you see it, now you don’t.”

@signaforce You don’t need to make Brave Browser your default browser but you can.  I continue to use Safari as my default browser and basically only use Brave for Audiogon as it’s by far the most problematic site I use.

@cyackulic Lots of sites use ads and don’t have near the problems this one does.  Like I said, this is the only site I need to use Brave Browser for so this site is particularly and unacceptably bad without some form of ad blocker so tossing them in with other sites as “business as usual” is nonsense.

That is an excellent idea. @tammyholt you guys should look into this.

I didn’t know that subscribing for insider stops the ads, but I agree $100 a year is a little rich for this. If it were $2 a month just to stop the ads I am sure plenty would justify this, and forgo the Brave browser. This would provide Audiogon a little payment to cover server and other costs as @cyackulic described above.

Think about how many hours a week some people are on here, conversing, researching, browsing, if it is just a half hour a day on average that works out to 14 cents an hour- pretty cheap entertainment!
