Definitely. Bluesound has decent dac. WiiM has a crappy dac.

Based on what, other than your conjecture?

The DAC in my WiiM Ultra performs considerably better than did the DAC in the Bluesound Node N130. Measurements-wise, the WiiM Ultra does perform slightly better than the Bluesound Icon.

I know you said only the 2. But why not the Cambridge Audio CNX10? Reviews say it sounds better over the other 2, beyond that not sure where it fits with the other stuff. 

I had that one and it most definitely does not sound better. Its UI is so stripped down and basic that it’s a joke compared to the other two. The UI might as well have been designed by Fisher Price. 

@helomech based on what I heard. In reality neither is high end no matter how you slice it or dice it. Both are bottom of the line starter units to get one into streaming.

Yep, still waffling. I’m putting off buying for a couple of weeks. 

This will give me a couple more weeks to waffle, mull over used, and go back the original plan of buying both and returning one!

Still be in time for the Christmas sales.
