OP, I would go to a countertop fabricator. They will have remnants from other jobs. Every sink cut out will create a similarly sized piece. To get 2", you may have to glue two pieces together. The cost should be low. Personally, I don't understand the benefit though or why there is an improvement over your existing support surface.

@vuch "...So what is best to do if you have carpet on the 2nd floor of a wood framed house?" Townshend Podiums
|
I do not have any direct experience with IsoAcoustic GAIA feet for speakers but have read a number of accounts of them. They are a tweak and will improve the same parameters the Townshend podiums, more focused bass, better image focus and improved midrange. But the podium are a much bigger improvement... more like a complete sonic upgrade versus a tweak. |
All good information! I'm still not sure about price vs gain on some of these platforms & footers. I figured I try a remnant of granite first and see what happens if anything. My Andra II speakers have poured granite in them and weigh about 215lbs so I'm not sure they are even vibrating. @sidog1460 Yeah I've looked at his products and wondered about them. I wanted some of is Fatboy disc to play with. |
