I was speaking about the guy sitting with Jay outside and trying to give the impression he knows everything. I found it interesting at first then it came out; Jay mentions this person has bought a lot equipment from me and then Jay allows him and agrees to this guy’s 2 cents knowledge on just about everything. I guess money can buy you everything!
Jay’s Audio Lab YouTube interview 😂
I have never been so turned off by someone so arrogant and Mr. right than I was when I watched Jay’s latest interview with one of his customers.
First the guy seems like an … and then starts bashing other high end companies he doesn’t like. Jay then agrees with him to make him happy and right.
I suppose Jay must keep that customer happy and agree with him to keep his business a live.

It doesn’t take long to spend 6 digits on a system or a car these days, 6 digits isn’t that much money to spend on quality items. What I like about Jay is his honesty. He was 1 of the reviewers that came out and stated the Axpona event had terrible sounding rooms with very expensive gear. No magazine reviewer would ever do that until TAS had to do this because Jay did it. Never ever have a seen a trade magazine reviewer say anything about a bad sounding room at any audio show, and I’ve been to dozens and dozens with dozens and dozens bad sounding rooms. |

parkergetdean - I agree with you on those facts too. He buys stuff that he can’t use like those new McIntosh hybrid monoblocks. It’s hit and miss watching his show. It is odd that he raves about certain speakers like Borresen but I have never seen him try a pair. I’ve seen Jay at audio shows and he is personable.I’ve also been at shows (CES and RMAF) that when a magazine reviewer enters the room, they want the host to either kick out everybody or at least get people to move out of the front center seats so the reviewer has priority. I told myself that is a manufacturer or dealer would ever do that to me or my friends, I would never buy from them in the future. |
