@larsman “I’ll trust Waymo over a driver” I believe you don’t drive? On two feet then, you are at more risk than drivers out there, whether being run over by the real or “bot” types. @mylogic - no worries, my friend! You are correct - I live in downtown San Francisco and I do not drive - I pedestrian or take public transport or ride-share. But I've been doing this for decades, so I've avoided getting run down by 4-wheels. The scooters and bikes that people ride illegally on the sidewalks is another story! Hah! The ol' bagel question rears its head - the ones here on the West Coast tend to not be like the New York ones these folks are talking about! |
@newton_john - Sorry my friend, I really was not talking about the vocation of those in Audiogon, and hope you don’t feel slighted. I meant more that as we approach what we listen to and buy, we should give in more to our senses than our analytical capabilities. If you were offended by my post you have my sincere apologies that I was not clearer in posting, and regret any slights felt. There are two kinds of cooks in the same person. There's the cook that carefully picks a recipe and tastes the sauce as it simmers, and there's the cook that eats and appreciates the meal. We should do more of the latter. |
@larsman The West Coast versus the NY ones…… two kinds of cooks and tastes. Yeah l started the 4 wheel bagel multipack slant on this thread. I thought the whole, hole in the bagel thing lightened up the humourist (US humorist) scientist versus the hedonist scenario, that had no real taste to it. Same argument can apply to all the sad supermarket bagels sold in the UK. |
