Steely Dan albums

@wolf_garcia Thanks for mentioning Elliot Scheiner which got me to do some fact checking which caused me to discover my statement regarding the use of digital on Gaucho to totally inaccurate. I found this 45-minute Tyler Burns video where all the facts are disclosed. Around 25 minutes Tyler asks Elliot where digital may have been applied and he said computer drum machines were used and around 1980 16-bit backups were used surrounding some compatibility issues with CD mastering.

it interesting to see how Steely Dan varieties of style songs. On Aja, the first track Black Cow is one style then you go to title Debut song Aja and it is different.  Same goes with the album Two Against Nature. First track sounds too funky then you go to Jack Of Speed then Negetive Girl, two different style. Either way, l enjoy it and we'll recorded.

I hope that Steely Dan fans realize that the insect on the cover of 'Katy Lied' is a katydid. Very clever. I've run across a number who did not know that.

Funny, I would have called it a grasshopper.

@faustuss - and you'd have been wrong and there would have been nothing clever about SD putting it there. A katydid is a member of the locust family, like a grasshopper, but it's a different insect. It's called that because of the sound it makes, which is something like 'katydid katydid'. I used to study insects.
