Two T/7x sufficient? Sub cable connections?

I am seeking advice regarding a subwoofer upgrade.

Base system: Advanced Paris A 12, EverSolo dmp A10, Warfedale Elysiam II, Cardas Clear Reflection cabling.  Sub I'm upgrading is SVS sb 1000 Pro.

Room size is 14 x 24 - mostly hard surfaces.  Acoustic wall treatments not likely to happen.

Listening preferences - jazz, folk-rock, jazzy blues, small ensemble acoustics, electric guitar and some classical.  Not looking for room shaking base, but more for cleaner tighter sound.

I was originally going to purchase an REL T/9x and then shifted my orientation towards getting two subwoofers.  For purposes of cost savings I'm considering two REL T/7x.  I'm seeking opinion as to whether the two 8" subs will be sufficient for my listening space.

Considering Moon Audio Black Dragon sub cabling, but open to other options.

Also, an audio retailer recently told me that the sub cables can be connected directly to the Elysian speaker posts rather than a direct connection to the audio source (amp or streamer).  He conveyed that the option could save on cable length cost and would provide no loss of signal quality.  Do folks see this as a viable option?

"Acoustic wall treatments not likely to happen."

Room treatment and speaker/sub placement would be the most significant upgrade.

I’d save more dough for a 2nd T9X. Supplied nuetrik/power cable are more than adequate for your setup.

IMO aftermarket cables for subs waste of money-I use aftermarket cables! Optimization of placement/settings more meaningful.

Longtime REL user.

Suggestions, like mine all over the map. Good luck sifting through.

I have 2 REL TX/7’s that are paired with a pair of Harbeth 30.1’s in a similar sized room and they are more than sufficient. I also just use the stock high level connectors that they come with. I think you would be pleased with them.

Also, the high level connections (which is what REL suggests you use) connects to the back of the amp, not the speakers.  The cable connects to the back of the sub, then you connect the other end to the speaker terminals that you are using on the back of the amp. It’s a thin set of wires. I have mine screwed into the terminal then use banana connectors to plug in to the same terminal.

To echo some of the above comments, my room and perceived acoustics are quite similar to yours. I have a pair of 7X RELS paired with Spendor 2/3’s. The integration was seamless and the bass fast and tight.  Use the high level connection. Enjoy the music.
