There is only one way to fully discover whether a Vinyl Source is with the capability to generate an attraction to the End Sound. An attraction that might prove to be enough to create the interest in assembling an Analogue Front End.
To get to the place of creating, it is best practice, if the Analogue Source is sat in front of and experienced, if this can be done with a comparison to a Digital Source then all the better for the educational experience.
Seeing the reference to Euros, strongly suggests there should be not too much foot work needed to end up at a place that is able to offer this experience.
The least that will be learnt, is that the End Sound from either Vinyl mediums embedded data and a Digital CD mediums embedded data - Digital File Medium data transfer are not going to be parity with how the End Sound is delivered.
Each Source is a tool to create the sent signal to become an End Sound, that is the basics. Whether one is preferred over the other for the End Sound created, or one is preferred for other reasons is the decision of an individual and not a collective.
The individual is best to create the experiences that enables a educated decision to be made. Talk is only the precursor and left at that, is a high risk, when making a decision may follow.
Anyone who were once Vinyl owners and are now wholly digital, are reporting on a fleeting memory, the other Source is long gone as an experience in the home system.
Would one take a suggestion that a MM Cartridge I used in the 90's, as being really good when used, as being relevant today as a substantiation the Cart' is worthwhile? From my side, It is just a memory of a Cart' that were with good times attached.
Each to their own, on how they prepare when intending to spend their monies.
As stated, I have a Analogue and Digital Source, and do not discourage it.
