Yes, the Class D Audio monos are definitely priced right. They have been on my radar for a some day update replacement into the Class D group.
What I really appreciate is that they have a 100k impedance input which works very nicely with tube preamps. I have yet to read much about the company through any reviews.
Can I ask when you purchased them? If you’ve had any issues and especially with the KEFs, harder to drive than most speakers, as they dip pretty low and are 85 dB efficient I think? If you like, a little mini review or even just a frequency assessment of how they do with the range of low mids and highs? They do have a return policy but thus would be a good start. TY

after 2 + years of owning this amp - this class d amp still shines on - very smooth (in a good way) - listen to music for hours (literally) - sounds right - i keep coming back to it - i want my ab amp and class a amp and my tube amp to sound as good and sometimes i think they do - and i can make a strong case for them
the ab amp is a little fatiguing after a while - the tube amp is like owning a car that needs to go in the shop every other week
it sounds good for stretches - then it needs work - sounds good - then want to upgrade tubes - the class a amp i think is sounding great sometimes - but alas my class D amp sounds good most of the time
the class d amp keeps chugging along - sounding wonderful all of the time - in a time where class d is not trending like it was 2 years ago - the peachtree is so underrated.

I have to say, my LSA GAN 350, had a very delicate smoothness about it (I would say tube like), zero noise, very spacious, but does not have that beefy bottom end nor the dynamics of some other amps I own. Unfortunately, it stopped working, and I do miss "some of the characteristics" of this amp that the others do not have. It was not my most "listened to" amplifier, but I miss it. Keep in mind, how important system integration is (synergy) between components, and the speaker/room interface, all leading to differences of opinion. |
@daytrader I purchased this one almost 1 year ago: Premium GaN 6.5 Balanced 2-Channel Amplifier 200W RMS into 8 OHM X 2 - GREY - Class D Audio I had an issue at first that was likely due to my error using the jumpers in the back to change input sensitivity (a nice feature). Vendor replaced the unit promptly and clean sailing ever since. It's a small shop it seems but vendor was very responsive to my email communications during iniital trial period. As per the sound, I can't wax poetic at the moment but will summarize the results as being comparable to moving to a high quality 4K picture from regular HD. Results are top notch in all regards with both my big Ohm F5s and my KEF ls50 metas. Like a haze was removed from the music and it all is there now to soak in. Sound to me subjectively is comparable to teh best tube and other SS amps I have heard. REcordings I have heard many times over the years are now at a higher level, the bar has been raised. So you can tell I am a fan and can easily recommend. I also still run a current model Purifi amp and a Bel Canto Icepower c5i that is several years old now. I enjoy them all but the Class D Audio is the go to. I've owned many other amps over the years prior, attend concerts of all kinds and audio shows regularly, and can say with confidence I have heard it all over teh years. Hope this helps.
