Second Round of Questions on Speaker Cables

Following up on a post of a couple months ago. Running Audience AU24SE cables but looking for something with more "body" if such a thing exists. But I do love the open, airy and even frequency balance of the Audience. A buddy runs Cardas cables and loves them but Audience not so much. So I was asking what else besides my Audience. Two answers were in the majority:

Stick with what you like, Audience, but go up in the range. Or, try Cardas.

So went for with AU24SX and really like them. Better than the SEs, maybe a bit more body.

Then tried the Cardas Clear Reflections. What I find is an emphasis with the mids and upper bass. Great for music with an emphasis on vocals maybe, but for my wide-ranging likes of rock, jazz, and occasional vocal-centric music, just not right with that lower-end emphasis.

FWIW, Bryston amp, Spatial Audio and Rogue pres, Sopras.

So still looking but not sure where to go next. I realize I'm being a little vague, but there's so many other options out there and it's impossible to try them all. Open to suggestions.

Thanks.

What model are your Sopra’s?  Bookshelf or floorstanders?  Without seeing a virtual system of your components and room, offering feedback is a guessing game.  Speaker cables might not be the solution for more ’body’.

FIX the room perfect first
then, As you are one of the insane deluded fellows who actually think you can discern what is virtually ( and scientificly ) impossible to detect in speaker cables i suggest you join the moon deniers you can always hope you get lucky, meet Buzz Aldrin in person tell him he’s just a damned faker and get socked up! LOL

To save $ get a DIY speaker cable kit fr GR research , the really expensive one ( maybe $150 ? ) make your own high-end cables and then he offers cryogenic treatment free I think!
you have someone do ( you blind )  blind switching of cables and test you.
i bet you can’t tell the difference !
The GR ? they will sound as good or better than $11K AQ snake oil
but 50% of people will be tripping if you tell them the bubble gum you gave them is LSD!
Being sane , we enjoy reading what insane people write!
send whatever you think is best to gene @ audioholics for testing ! maybe he can see if they really are good ! LOL
it would make a great YT video! at least! smiley

Always nice to see members present them self with name and age in their profile.

Look into Purist. Excellent cables with a very full sound, but not muddy. Just be aware that they are quite heavy, especially compared to Audience. I bought mine from Albert Porter and he was very helpful.

Your description of Clear Reflection interconnects is accurate. I didn’t like them. Boosted mids with harsh sibilance on female vocals. Bass muddied up the soundstage which becomes narrow due to lack of air and extension up top. A too general of a view into recording.
Also, I love Audience speaker cables and their digital cables but their interconnects never impressed me. Tried AU24se, sx and Frontrow. I much prefer my Nordost Tyr 2 XLRs.
Be careful chasing full bodied sound. Get the right balance instead.
