Is ASR for real, or is it only for those sub $1k or even sub $2K?

I did some browsing on the forum and it seems like most don't own very expensive gears.  Most of them own mostly sub 1K or 2K gears.

I recently ask about feedback on the Polk R700 but after about a month with no responds.  I did a search "ASR Polk R700", with all but one poster which actually owned a pair.  Most of them would point you to some measurement and some theoretical discussion but non actually own a pair.

I also looked at a few posts on budget speakers such as the Kef Q7 or Polk R600, but I didn't see any actual owners responding.

I don't mean to knock on them but ASR seems like a lot of hype but very little substance.

@markwd  why are we all arguing about this stuff, no stereo system sounds even close to live unamplified music, so what you decide sounds closer and what I decide sounds closer is what is important.

@mahgister I'm baffled by your vague hints at some great gulf between you and Amir. Go over to ASR or elsewhere and explain exactly what he gets wrong and how he might improve. I'd love to read it!

Ok i owe you an  apology ...

Yeah, I’m not really passionate about this stuff,

Contrary to you i am passionate about this stuff as for any stuff interesting me ...

I read any books on any field  as if it was a question of life and death... If not, i dont read a book..

In life my job was advising students about  the books they need and how to read it...

Then i takes books very seriously ...

Then i gave you my sincere apology if my answers disturbed your peace of mind ...

I am too serious...

My best sincerely to you ...

There is no gulf between me and Amir...

Amir is the head of ASR...

I am nobody...

Second, Amir dont understand anything about hearing theory in its actuial state...

I discussed for years here with him or the like of him...

It is useless as recommending a book about primes numbers theory to a poet...or a linguistic book to an engineer...devil

Amir do well the marketing of his site. Nothing else...

He has nothing to learn from me.

He did not and cannot read the articles i proposed to him few times because it will kill his main claim that specs measures tell all the audio tale...( he gave ad hominem attacks not only to Kunchur but to Van Maanen, a hobbyist for him, , as answer he ignores the others scientists)

is it confusing for you to understand that ?

if Amir treated Kunchur as a clown do you think i had a chance and the appetite to go on ASR debating him with 10 of his disciples (many engineers) to gave me answers?

Do you think they will read 500 pages contradicting  their acoustics beliefs ?

I am passionate about truth. opinions in audio dont interest me. Why do you think i am interested by acoustics theory ?

Because it is related to speech and linguistic and not only music...More acoustics phenomena  are metaphors for numbers theory too ...If you think i am a "crank" ask the mathematician Alain Connes...

Things are simple, ready to be debunk mostly for simplistic mind...Things are in fact deep and complex... Even in audio...devil
