Subjectivist myths exist...
Debunk them...
But all these articles i quoted are a debunking of the Amir objectivist stance...
Debunk him too ...
Me i am not baffled by your post at all ...
Why being baffled by mine ?
Hearing theory is the only ground to start for debunking anything in audio Audiophiles as well as Amir...Period.
All the articles i quoted point to a new ecological theory of hearing...
The Kunchur papers on cables are one thing. i am not qualified to judge them , but his others papers are way more interesting and important ...
«"Baffle" can mean to confuse someone completely» I dont think anything i said is confusing at all ...
Hearing theory is beyond the ideological stances of audio gangs : audiophiles versus Amir, Audiogon versus ASR banner...
What is confusing it is this ridiculous opposition which do not exist in acoustics science...
Amir oppose his tools against the ears of audiophiles and the audiophiles trust their ears. it is evident that none of them alone is right ....
It is why Kunchur called Amir a guru....
He is evidently right if Amir claim his measures said it all and audiophiles are all deluded consumers...he is evidently right if Amir has no theory of hearing and no clue about it as it is evident reading his answers to Kunchur main article which is not about cables...
@mahgister Still baffled, man! I’m interested in debunking audiophile myths that are derived from flawed theories, commercial snake-oil, limited testing and evaluation, and simple gullibility. I don’t see a logical parallel with "debunk spirits existence before inquiring about their existence to begin with..." For audiophile myths, these can be debunked by showing them to be false. An inquiry into their existence would be to simply read the claims of those who promote such myths.
Finally, I read several of your papers back in the day, including Kunchur on cables! I’m not arguing at all about the content of most of them, just that I don’t see what you are so vexed about and how this applies to well, just about anything!
