slightly pushed in softdome tweeter on Fritz speaker
My wife while cleaning the front of one of my Fritz carbon 7 se speakers pushed in slightly a small section of the soft dome tweeter material, not tearing it, just a very small section. pushed in. Will it affect the sound, and can I somehow pull it back out, without tearing it?/ she looked on youtube and someone referenced using a vacuum cleaner ? Unreal, that's how I feel !!!! Hello robshaw! Use a vacuum cleaner with a hose and removable nozzel. Detatch to nozzel from the hose. Put the nozzel near the dented tweeter and use you hands to couple the nozzel to the hose and conteol the suction on the dome. Be gentle, be careful. I've had to do this a few times and it works well. Many domes are extremely thin. I'd avoid physical contact with any dome. Enjoy the music. |
