@roadcykler AI leverages models trained using historical data. This data is collected from various sources. The nonsense you’re spewing is somewhere in there as well. It’s just not being considered for a final answer because it’s not in there in quantities significant enough to change the response. That’s simply because your information is not accurate.
Interconnect recommendations
According to chatGPT, my 2 weakest links in my system, are my DAC & my interconnects. For a number of reasons, I am focusing on the interconnects first, starting with RCA from DAC to pre & balanced from pre to amp. My current interconnects are WBC Mogami 2549. Speaker cables are Transparent Plus. My USB is Cardas clear. I recently added the Stack Audio LAN silencer. I have a Furman P 2400 AR power conditioner & voltage regulator & Maze Audio Litz with billet plugs power cords.
Budget is open, new or used. Focus is on clarity, transparency and micro details. I want to match or slightly exceed the quality of my existing system.
My digital side of my system: Aurender N150 > Chord Qutest > PS Audio BHK pre > Moon 330A > KEF Reference 3’s.
If it helps, I am thinking used Dave or one the R2R (Holo KTE etc) as my DAC upgrade. Thanks!

Thank you everyone. DAC first, then cables, excellent recommendations on both fronts. Unfortunately, you are all correct the Chord DAVE is out. |
@fthompson251 Thanks! |
I recently changed my cables from Nordost Heimdall 2 to Schnerzinger resolution series. I’m a bit of a cable skeptic, but I’ll have to say that I hear a noticeable improvement, much more natural sound, better soundstage, etc. it’s a little bit of an esoteric brand but a very Too expensive, but to my ear and in my system, a significantly better sound than what I had or what I’ve auditioned before, audio quest and transparent. Of course, some would say this is just expectation bias, etc., and they could be the right, I just know what I heard. Each to their own, but I think the most intelligent thing about ChatGPT is it’s ability to tell you what you want to hear. I wouldn’t rely on it too strong in my decision-making. On the other hand, I use it sort of like a super google. I think it’s really good at assimilatinh information and it’s good at trying to figure out how you would like to receive that information. I don’t think it’s analytical abilities are all that great. |
