Pulled the trigger on a Moon 861! Hope it pairs well on my Focals

Well, I pulled the trigger and ordered a Moon 861 amp! I am very excited! It will be coming next week. I have a pair of focal Sopra n1 speakers that I'll be using on it. I've never heard them paired before. I heard a moon audio 761 on dynaudio towers and so that's what turned me on to The Moon North collection.

I'm feeling a little bit nervous. Hopefully it pairs really good with good synergy with the focals. Has anyone ever heard the moon north gear on Focals before?

Just to follow up... I am coming close to a 100 hours. I can def. start to hear the same traits I heard when I listened to it in the store. It's quite a interesting phenomenon. It's not all the time... I think it is just  beginning. But at  times the detail is quite amazing and so real. Incredible. It's like I am in the studio. All the treble that I complained about before is gone now... it sounds very smooth.  Quite a interesting and pure sound.... I would compare it to having headphones on.

Just wanted to do another follow up... lately I noticed the Moon is sounding really good. I think it's really starting to break in now. There are times when I hear some music from it and I am just like... wow!

You haven't heard anything until you upgrade your source and cease using any phone via bluetooth.

A little late to this discussion but using a Moon 861 with bluetooth or AirPlay is like throwing money away.  Eversolo is good as a streaming DAC but seems like folks have a complaint about having to turn the volume up to -20 before it gets loud enough when using the preamp section.  I have a Moon 860A V2 and I would buy the Moon 861 in a heartbeat.  I'm too close to retirement and don't want to spend that much on another amplifer.  I bought my 860A V2 as a B stock unit at 40% off.  The Moon amplifier sounds superior to any other amp I own.

I have an Everstolo T8 connected to my Mark Levinson No 5206 preamp and it sounds great.  I have Dynaudio Contour 60 speakers and they're very revealing.  I tried a Moon MiND2 streamer and it didn't sound any better than the Eversolo T8.  The DAC is going to make the biggest difference.

I have the Eversolo A8 connected as a streaming DAC on another system, and it sounds excellent for what it cost.  Eversolo UI is great.  I stream with my own library, Tidal, Qobuz, and Apple Music.  The added bonus with Eversolo is that you can stream hi rez Apple Music natively.

Just wanted mention... Still using the cheap Yamaha RN 2000a as a preamp to the Moon 891. I turned down the bass and turned up the treble about 1/4 each... My  Moon sounds awesome. It sounds liquid like (because of the Yamahba) with a black background(because of the Moon). I am really enjoying it. Incredible amplifier and I have a 10 year warranty so I feel like I made a really good buy now that I have the sound I like. It might also have to do with the hours burn in.
