Emm labs Dac upgrade

Yeah completely different chassis. Best to sell it and get a used DA2 V2 which you can upgrade later. 
Or just use your older DAC2x V2 and enjoy it. 

@audphile1 Yeah, when I found out it was a big disappointment. Looking at other options including the one you mentioned. I was wondering why there’s more Dac2x v2 on the market now than before. Thanks

If the upgrade was offered everyone would scoop up these old DACs for $5k on used market, send it in for an upgrade and end up with a $35,000 DAC for $13,000

Thay would be a sweet deal. But not for EMM Labs. Lol

My brother has one, it's a great DAC.  But it's not as good as a DA2, even the V2, never mind the new i versions.  Are you happy with it?
