How to dispose of your system?

A lot of us are getting to the age where  we may start thinking about what will happen to our precious systems when we’re gone?  Will they be sold in pieces, breaking up the synergy we’ve worked so hard to establish? That seems to me to be criminal.
What about trying to sell the whole system, kit and kaboodle, maybe to a member of this forum? Would anyone, perhaps a novice, be willing to pay for a very finely tuned instrument?
If the system cost say,  $35K to put together, what would a fair price be?

Ideally , if you have no one to personally take them, a great  relationship with a dealer can take care of it all for your survivor.  You have to have someone you trust.

Since I’m single with no kids at the ripe old age of 56 I hadn’t even thought about it. But it’s definitely a thought provoking post. Guess I’ll leave it to maybe my nephews? Or maybe my stepson as he has an appreciation for it…

@oddiofyl your reply made me laugh out loud about knowing how to turn it on and get music to play😂. Classic! So true…

In the meantime gonna continue to play the piss out of it and lap up every damn note! Maybe by the time I’m gone there won’t be anything left to leave😂

I told my kid you would have two choices either spend around 80 hours researching on how to put the system together or pay someone $500 to set it up for you. Which would probably be the absolute minimum of time or money. I think some of us may forget the educational level that we have reached putting our systems together.
