Audiogon has gone too far, too fast with the ads!!!

Thanks audiogon staff for their restablishment of the previous Thread "Hello Audiogon"  ...

It is greatly appreciated...

No other site is so well managed...

For the publicity it is easy : uBlock-origin ...

I use Firefox but i use  "ublock origin" i did not even remember what is a pop-up or and ads. Someone want to explain it to me ? 

 

 

I am less concerned with publicity than by the deleting of an entire thread where discussion were passionate but polite. "Audiogon" thread   OP with thesummit and Amir...

i learned a lot discussing with Amir...

I dont understand Audiogon action here ...

They fear ASR  competition ?

Thanks for your post above regarding the popup ads on Audiogon.  Please email your issues to [email protected] and provide as many details as possible (screen shots, if possible).  Your email will ALERT Audiogon Staff of the issue and its impact upon you.  Please include your comments for BOTH the popup and site performance issues.  

I encourage all Audiogon posters including the 47 people that posted to this FORUM POSTR to email their popup and/or site performance issues to [email protected]. Thanks.  

Ads rarely pertain to me an my area so I block them. 

Thank you all for the feedback. As mentioned in this thread by other users, and by us in the other discussion about the ads, please email any screenshots to [email protected]. And even better, if you can right click and copy the url of the ad. This allows us to actually hunt down any rogue advertisers or diagnose any ad units that aren’t behaving properly. This helps us know if it’s just certain devices, browsers, etc. Your experience in the Forums should not be negatively impacted by ads, but the only way to fix this is if we get evidence by the people experiencing it. We apologize for this, and look forward to gathering evidence that we can share with our ad partners to investigate. 

First Tammy, thanks so much for responding here.  Very specifically what’s driving me absolutely nuts here now is the page refreshing every few minutes or so where I lose what I’m typing.  I can tell it’s gonna happen because the response to my typing becomes progressively slower as I’m typing a post.  My uninformed guess is the constant refreshing the individual ads is exacerbating this, but I don’t know.  It doesn’t happen when I’m editing my post where there are no ads on the screen, and it doesn’t happen on other sites where the ads are more static so that’s where my theory is coming from.  I’m using an iPad via Wi-Fi and Safari as my browser and the latest iOS version, but if there’s anything else I can provide that could be helpful just lemme know.  I’m at the point where I’m gonna just use another browser (recommended here) that blocks the ads and seems to work, but I’d rather not if I don’t have to.  Thank you!!!!!!!
