Power cables of your choice, and why?

After receiving a few responses to this, I'll include what I use in my systems.

I have tried/owned so many power cables through many years, including many DIY versions.

It all started after trying a Synergistic Research Master Coupler that a dealer provided. I was convinced as some of you have stated that NO WAY can just a power cable improve the sound.

But it did.

If your system and ears are up to it, you can clearly hear the differences in cables, be it cable inductance, shielding, configuration, conductor type, design  etc.etc...

Today, I own all AQ Dragon power cables. I also own the AQ 7000 power conditioner. There is a strong synergy with them and the Power Conditioner. (IMHO, they were probably designed together)

Premium power cords from transparent. Use them throughout my system they seem very nice. Also like their speaker cables.

I like buying stuff from Maine. They get on the phone with you and are very helpful

Another +vote for Transparent Audio.

Happy Listening!

@lanx0003, in response to your question, among the things you have missed are

Design and construction of the mains and IEC connector and the manner in which the cable is terminated into those connectors;

Design and construction of the cable dielectric;

Mechanical construction of the cable overall with respect to microphonics.

@thesummit, I use an AudioQuest Storm Series power cable to power my AQ Niagara power conditioner, because after listening and speaking to AQ’s Director of Engineering, Garth Powell, explain that the most important three feet of cable in a system is the one which goes from the wall going into your audio system, I was convinced to get the best power cable I could based upon my needs. I have said for years that having the cleanest power possible running through your mains is more important than having the most unique and boutique piece of gear sitting between your music source and your ears.

 The only other power power cable in my closed headphone system that goes into its own wall outlet is a Stefan AudioArt Endorfin ribbon cable that powers my Woo Audio WA22 headphone amplifier.
