Looking to Develop A Short List For An Interconnect

I have two amplifiers here, they sound a bit different. Pre-amplifier is a Trinnov Amethyst.

First amp is a Matrix Audio MA-1 and its quite interesting. Reminds me a lot of my Classe Omega I have owned. A bit lean in the mids and a bit vibrant in the top end. I enjoy listening to them, my JBL 4367 sound like electrostats. But the mid band is lean. I use a pair of Wireworld Silver Eclipse 10 XLR interconnects between amp and pre.  Problem is I do not own this amp.

The second amp is a Constellation Audio Inspiration 1.0, which I have recently acquired. This is supposed to be my long term amplifier, so the one I need to work with. I find it quite a bit darker and richer than the Matrix amplifier. From what I had read of the Constellation amplifier, this rich tube like presentation is not expected. So far the best sound I have gotten with it is with a pair of Wireworld Gold Eclipse 8 I have.

So I am looking to develop a short list of interconnects to explore. I want something that is a degree or two more upfront and energetic than the Wireworld. Ideally I will go to the used market so that I can buy and sell if needed. But new is not out of the question.

I have wondered about Nordost, maybe some of the upper level Kimber. But any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if either of these amps are for you. The real key in putting the perfect system together is to get the components right. Then you strike out to get interconnects and power cords that do not change to sound at all.

I'd recommend revamping your search for the right amp. When you find one that sounds perfect in your system, then go looking for perfectly neutral wires (Transparent).

@OP Is your system visible - I can't see it. Frankly, unless someone is providing views on interconnects based on them having exactly the same system as you, it is just a game of pin the tail on the donkey. I do not know the first amp you refer to - the one you do not own. However, what I would say is that if you find the Constellation amp dark sounding compared to it then I shudder to think what it sounds like. The other thing I would say is that cables should not be used as tone controls - ghdprenticese's post above is absolutely correct in that regard.

It seems a lot of Agers were impressed with DH Labs Air Matrix Cryo XLR cable.  On the digital side (if you need it), I was impressed with its Mirage usb and D110 aes/ebu.

Wywires.  I have compared them to many of the higher brands. A-B.  They just shine with transparency, neutrality, clarity.  Used by some very discerning component builders as well.

You may want to try silver cables if you're looking for more openness and detail, I might look at LavriCables. Excellent cables and mostly affordable

Like Pindac I am a huge fan of extremely high quality copper cables (mostly Japanees), they are not cheap if you buy them built; but can be affordable as DIY.....either way you can find what you need.

I'd recommend: RAMM Audio Graphene OCC cables, Neotech G-UPOCC (Graphene), Furutech DUCC or Triple-C OCC or nanotech, Acoustic Revive OCC Triple-C, Oyaide PCOCC or 102SSC,  SAEC Triple-C, and Acrolink DUCC. The Cable Company carries some of these, and I believe they may have some in their lending library.

I would not buy many of these cables used, as they have a chance of being counterfeits. Buy from US or Japan based sellers only......I was lucky enough to have a friend that lived in Japan for a few years, and he picked up most of mine for me
