Your favorite obscure song

What song in your music inventory do you consider a barely known hidden gem? Like a well kept secret know only to a few that you can listen to over and again.

For me it's 'Roads to Moscow' from Al Stewart's 'Past Present and Future' album.

The music, the lyrics, the story it tells is- to be just slightly hyperbolic- brilliant.

Check it out, especially if your a WW2 history buff.

Thank you for your attention on this matter.😁

Recently I discovered Danko/Manual from the Drive By Truckers and Jason Isbell.  Never remembered hearing it before about 6 months ago.

Dan Hicks And His Hot Licks are not THAT obscure, but I’ll take this opportunity to once again bring attention to their rendition of "I’m An Old Cowhand (From The Rio Grande)", written by Johnny Mercer for the movie Rhythm On The Range, sung by Bing Crosby.

Dan Hicks’ version is sung by band member Maryann Price, in a deliciously lascivious manner. The song is found in the Striking It Rich album, and a bonus for audiophiles is that the recorded sound quality is excellent. It was produced by Tonny LiPuma and engineered by Bruce Botnick. Musically great, and sonically demo quality material.
