Voltage conversion of Accuphase E-5000

Does anyone know how to convert voltage of Accuphase E-5000 100v to 110/120v? Or does anyone provide information on voltage conversion table of Accuphase E-5000?

@foolishman

It looks like Accuphase's typical preamp dual transformer setup, with jumpers J1, J2, J3 and J4, J5, J6 for voltage selection. Moving the jumpers to J2 and J5 will convert to 120V.

Before converting the voltage to 120V, testing this board with 100V input. Measure the DC voltage across the 220uF capacitor and if the voltage is less than 20% of the rated voltage of the relay coil, you don't need to do anything with this board.

Thank you very much for providing information. I will let you know as soon as voltage conversion completes.

@imhififan

I have successfully converted to 120V. Since the DC voltage across the 220uF capacitor is nearly 20% of the rated voltage of the relay coil, I installed a 940Ω resistor just in case. Thank you very much.

Glad to hear you have successfully converted your C-57 to 120V. I hope some forum members will find this information helpful.smiley

Hello and I hope you're doing well.

I am trying to convert an Accuphase E-4000 from 100V to 120V. Can you send me a few pictures with 'before' and 'after', and some instructions how to do this safely, please?

Regards,

George
