Bin dug noisy records. Does it diminish your enjoyment?

I have some original pressed (or at least very old) LPs bought used at Half price books, and record stores, and not at Collector prices, as such there is on some a bit of popping and noise, and one or two that were just trash.
So I ask, when you pick up a $5 ish record that plays with some well earned noise but is playable, does that take away from your enjoyment knowing it is and old war horse?

Well it depends. I have enough buying old vinyl experience that I have a good idea of my chances, but I did get into cleaning lps for this purpose as well so I take my chances. Sometimes it pays off

I hate surface noise.  Digital for me.  I play LPs when I can’t get an acceptable digital version of the desired music

I don't like it, so yes it diminishes my enjoyment. I tend to record every LP I listen to so I can remove most of the noise for subsequent playback.

I have acquired ~8,000 neglected records that I am sorting thru right now.  Most of them are a mess; Dirt, mold, you name it.  Step 1.  Clean with VPI Cyclone using a 3 step process.  Step 2.  Use a HumminGuru for Ultrasonic clean and final rinse.  Step 3.  Back to the VPI for vacuum dry.  Step 4.  If necessary, Sugar Cube to listen.  Even after all that only a small percentage are retained in my collection.
