ClassDAudio.com product...any owners can input?

I've had a Mini Gan 5 for a few years but only put on about 200 hours or so.

I found it to be very neutral sounding, but in my application lacking in a cohesive stage depth. It very well could be a mismatch with my other gear.

At its relatively inexpensive cost it is well worth considering. 

I now have over 80 hours running my Class D Audio custom shop mono blocks. 
At around the fifty hour mark a noticeable transition occurred. They lost their being a bit shrill character. Possibly around 70 hours I feel they found their character. 
Became more musical. Very revealing.
No preamp is being used. Going straight from the DAC and using the DAC’s passive volume control. 
Overall I am happy and have zero buyers remorse. 
I only have one criticism. Basically due to laziness. On the front panel they need a small light clearly visible that indicates they are powered up. As it is need to look into the guts and observe the blue light indicating power is on. I realize a very nit picky critique. 

An update… my preamp actually did get delivered today. Well in truth I went out and tracked down the truck. Oh my, things did improve. Bass came out. Articulation improved. Overall presentation was improved. According to the previous owner of the preamp there are not enough hours of play for the preamp to be properly broken-in. Apparently the 30 year old speakers have always needed some horsepower. Which I failed to proved. But was told the Threshold T? and McCormack DNA amp’s were man enough for the job. Not.

I very recently bought a hybrid amplifier using the Mini GaN 5 power module. The input stage uses a pair of ECC82 or 12AU7. It was shipped with a pair of 88s. Probably at around the 100 hr point. 
It’s replacing a solid state Class D (ICE Power) with separate linear power, and around 200W into my 4ohm Magnepan LRS+. Pretty significant improvement. It’s hard to know exactly what it making the differences in hearing as this is an additional 100 watts. That said, the bass coming from the maggies is definitely far better controlled. More articulate, and more “quantity”. I had to turn down the levels on my subs to compensate. 
All the things I enjoy about the speakers are just increased with this amp. Based on other threads regarding the MG5, it seems pretty “tweeky”. Inconsistent results in both testing and listening. Mine, still under warranty, seems to have a power module fault. It occasionally outputs a moderate level arcing sound. Otherwise it’s a really great amplifier. Not speaker damaging levels, but consistent whether or not the preamp is on. The fault aside, I highly recommend applications with a tube input stage. After another hundred or so hours, I may try much “nicer” tubes. Probably a pair of vintage 12AU7.

Musica Bella /Response Audio has been using the CDA GaN FET modules in our Hybrid amplifiers, including our Maestro Series DHT/Hybrid GaN FET amplifier. Minivini's amp in the above post is our standard Hybrid.

Over the past several years, we have auditioned several Class D modules to use in our hybrids. We also used them in rotation with various other amplifier topologies for R&D on our preamplifiers including our DHT units preamplifiers. I am a big fan of DHT preamplifiers and they do sound amazing with the CDA GaN FET amplifiers on their own.

Minivini's amp will be coming back so we can see what is going on and will get it back in his system as soon a musically possible!

If youre looking for a nice sounding GaN FET at reasonable pricing, the Class D Audio units are well worth auditioning.
