Streaming music and movies from tv

I have a nice 2 channel music system and wanting to run movies through it from the tv. I know that TOSLINK from the TV isn’t the best. Is there a way to clean it up a bit before it goes into the DAC?

Samsung streaming PCM through toslink to DAC. The sound quality is excellent.
