Power cords: Kimber Kable Palladium

Anyone have experience with the Kimber power cords.

I read an Audio Bacon review suggesting they have great timbre and tonal qualities.

Looking for a PC for my DAC

Auditioning a Kimber Palladian PK10 in my system now. Probably buying it, unless something comes along and somehow tops it, but I almost don't want to send it back to the Cable Company. My description is "Copper cable with a ridiculously low noise floor, very deep soundstage and plenty of air."

Been using it in a Schitt Yggrasil and mostly swapping cables only in the DAC, while going through a playlist with 2000 or so tunes. It makes every cable I've auditioned up to this point sound dead. Notes have a very seductive, sustained decay and I'm hearing parts of songs I thought I knew very well. Very addicting. Will swap in the Dave and see if it yields similar results in a few days.

Was surprised to see this design has been around for almost 3 decades now. The module in the middle is big and heavy!

From Audio Bacon shootout I picked up PK10s and PK14s.  Lately I purchased Snake River Takshaka PCs as end game- AXPONA 2025 discount greatly helped.  Likely purchase a QSA Lanedri PC because expect sonically transformative from reviews and free 30day trial.

@kennyc - How would you describe the Snake River Taishaka power cables? With power cables, I personally believe the differences are subtle. Other components, such as Dacs, bring much larger sonic differences…

I’m curious about your impressions of the Snake River cables. Please share!

Haven’t tried them yet, I’m in the middle of a house move so everything is packed - living out of bags. I purchased the Takshaka based on a seasoned WBF contributor who compared them against MasterBuilt PCs and noticed minimal differences in his seemingly price-no-object system.  MasterBuilt cables were designed by USA government “superconductor” scientists as a side project, the top-of-line is a proprietary metal blend.

I was trying to reach the Audioquest Dragon transparency/performance level but at a more affordable price.  Other PCs I seriously considered were VooDoo and RSX (former MIT cables designer, seems to be targeting high value with performance).
