Bob - FWIW I heard the Serendipity at CAF last November. To me they sounded very dynamic with an expansive soundstage however a bit tipped up on the high end and a little thin in the midrange. Doug from Gestalt Audio (the dealer) told me that the SON model with the field-coil driver sounds more balanced albeit at a higher price.
