New Review on Pine Tree Audio cables

I had made the Pine Tree Audio Rainbow Ribbon speaker wire and the HexaBraid SPC speaker wire & IC's my budget cables of 2024 for the Stereo Times website "Recommended Components of the Year" list. Just sent in the full review. Hopefully, it will be published in the next few weeks. I still cannot believe how inexpensive Pine Tree Audio cables are vs. build quality/performance. Hope you guys take a look at the review for the details on why these are excellent wires and compete with cables at least twice the price.

I have had pinetree audio connectors and cables over 5 years.  I have Rainbow ribbon speaker cables. Jesse has put different ends, special connectors, repaired volume on my crossover.   He is straight up and a nice person.

@charliee I emailed Pine Tree about the HexaBraid series at some point. They answered quickly and were very helpful, just like Veritas has been. If only everyone else in the audio space acted like those two, we'd be way better off.

I ended up going with the Veritas Argentum as I wanted a pure silver design rather than silver plated or pure copper. I may still try out a HexaBraid interconnect at some point anyway though. I always like supporting these smaller brands and the HexaBraid series seems like a great value.

A very 'single-ended' recommendation, i.e. without context.

I read the earlier Stereo Times review for this cable.  Both that review and this click-bate sound like an advertisement, and nothing more...

I hope they are that good, otherwise even more knowledgeable AGs will feel jaded by such comments and reviews.

To all others, thanks for your personal experience.  It would be most helpful for comments to be referenced to common, well adopted cables such as those from AQ, Cardas, Kimble, etc.

Hey Everybody,

The review on the Pine Tree Audio cables went up today on Stereo Times. Hope you take a look at it for the details for why I made them 2024 budget cables of the year.

Hope you enjoy the review, Teajay

I purchased several interconnects (custom Iso-Quad RCAs w/Neutrik ProFi) from Pine Tree Audio in May 2025 and I had horrible experience with my $655 transaction. I sent Jesse a photo showing how the shrink wrap was not holding up and the cables were frayed and actually causing a hum. When I noticed the cables were frayed near the shrink wrap he repaired the shrink wrap but the cables did not hold up so for the second time I asked for him to repair or replace 4 of the 5 cables and he agreed to do so but he sent the package (without telling me of the shipment of providing the tracking info) on Sept 19, 2025 while I was in Hawaii and even though I had a mail hold in place with the USPS, the package was apparently delivered but it disappeared by the time I came back on Oct 1st. Jesse refused to replace the cables and said he did think the cables were defective to begin with but he said he didn't know why the cables were getting frayed. At the end of the day, I paid $655 and ended up with only one 12 inch pair of Iso-Quad RCAs. Certainly, not what I bargained for. My audiophile advisor and installer said he was sorry he even mentioned Pine Tree Audio and that they're no longer on his list of "go to" cable manufacturers. My advice is to steer clear of Pine Tree Audio and Jesse but if you do business with Pine Tree Audio make sure you have some purchase protection like PayPal and that Jesse advises you of all shipments, provides the tracking details and fully insures his shipments to you.
