Why did you purchase the equipment you have and what do you like most about it?

@jond not gonna lie when I met Hans at Infigo Audio it changed my life. Designs stuff with low noise floors great soundstages and imaging.  I had already had my gato speakers which were a perfect match. Extremely happy with my system. 

@jl35 agreed Bob Grost is a very fine gentleman not using his cables right now but they are excellent and good value. @calvinj I don't know Infigo but glad it's working out for you.

@jond this audio thing is unique.  We get there in different ways with different people and gear. More than one way to get there. 

The answer spans fifty years and would require a book. It is the culmination of fifty years of learning, listening and investing. What I like most about it is the way it sounds... although it looks great as well. Photos under my userid.

I established a price range at which I'm willing to spend for each component. I've been lucky to be able to listen to components in my room prior to purchase. Finally, I trust my wife's and my own ears.
