Skogrand Cables?

I was very impressed with the sound of the Skogrand Cables room at AXPONA this year. These are not inexpensive cables -- does anyone have any experience with their products?

I like their website because it details the important features - like

  1. Solid UP-OCC wire for fast dynamic performance
  2. low dielectric constant - for clarity and details
  3. Conductor spacing cable geometry - for low noise floor

These are the things that make for great cables.

They are extremely expensive andĀ there are way too many models, making it difficult to assess which one is best other than by pricešŸ™„

So if money is on object then these are the cables for you

For the rest of us there are more affordable options like

  • In-Akustik - great cable geometry for low noise
  • Zavfino - they use UP-OCC copper for fast dynamics

Feel free to join us over on the Thiel Owners thread. I look forward in reading more about your CS 1.5 loudspeakers and system.

Happy Listening!

Well I Have spent a month with the Skogrand Vivaldi speaker cables and I can say with confidence that they have performed way above what I had thought they would. I have used them with a set of Kef R101s and Thiel cs1.5s. in each instance the cable provided well laid out soundstage with beautiful clarity. No sonic signature justĀ  realistic sounds. and textures. Purchasing these was an unknown as I never heard of the company and there was not much out there to read but what was available was very positive so I took a chance. The Gentleman I bought them from was very informative and helpful as well so I feel lucky in that regard. If the opportunity comes your way to purchase this particular model used(they are no longer in production) jump on them you will not be disappointed.
